Hey everyone, some of you may know me as the idiot who does the socials for the Akhal Teke Horse Association (ATHA). Most of you won’t know me, even though we probably met, but I am really bad at socializing…!
I have been a member of ATHA ever since I got my first Teke, Kamila, in 2016, and became a member of the board a few months after putting her to sleep in 2023.
I still have Kamila’s daughter, Kamaria, who is now 7, a true golden dragon
I have been a horse girl my entire life, starting at age 4, I blew through 4 (maybe 5? 6? I am losing count!) careers as a professional in the equine industry… From mere stable hand to, riding camps, to managing studs and stables. I am an equine dentist, I briefly was a Center Riding instructor, long time dressage instructor, horse trainer specializing in problem horses, and much, much, more… I live and breathe horses… I am a hoof enthusiast, a passive physio enthusiast, I have my own property since the beginning of this year for all my retired and broken down horses (3 left, and 1 bonus pony), and I try to give them the best most horse friendly life they can possibly live – which is easier said than done when you live in the Netherlands and everything is wet and there is no space… but we do alright, I like to think. 
I have the worst luck with horses, hence all the broken and retired horses… It has given me a lot of experience… I often joke that I was not smart enough for vet-school, but am now working my way through the curriculum anyway just without a degree at the end…
