The President of the Republic of Türkiye, Abdullah Gül, was gifted two Akhal-Tekes by the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The first was gifted in May 2013, a buckskin stallion named Arkadaş (meaning “friend”).
