Raindancer (Tay Shael x Tulah) earned Highpoint Speed Champion titles among other victories in a USAWE official show at Appleatchee Working Equitation Riders last weekend!

“Last weekend my dear friend Katie Garrett hosted her first licensed Working Equitation show at Appleatchee Working Equitation Riders in Wenatchee WA.
Of cause the Dragon ( purebred Akhal-Teke gelding “Raindancer” Tay Shael x Tulah) and I could not miss out on this one, so we signed up and hitched a ride with Stacie Green Boswell and her steed Spicey. (Thank you for keeping up with me, you are the most easy going and fun travel partner one can wish for)
It was a double rated 3 day show so we started the Friday with 2 dressage competitions:
#1 we scored 64.8% and placed 3rd
#2 I had a little navigation black out but we still reached a 62% and 4th place
Saturday followed with 2x EOH:
#1 67.5% 3rd place
#2 68% 2nd place
The Dragon seemed to be not quite himself, he was still off in his neck after a stupid incident the week before and so our friend and stall neighbor Heather Longshore helped out and adjusted him, which he visibly appreciated.
On Sunday he was back to his gorgeous self and we ended the #1 speed round with a 2nd place and reserve high point.
Show #2 I switched our song last minute to “Ace of Spades” by Motörhead and with Lemmy in the background we managed to turn it up a notch and made it to 1st place and also Highpoint Speed Champion 
Overall results: Show 1 and 2: both 3rd place
the 1st and 2nd place were each time occupied by Heather on her fantastic mustang gelding Halay and Angela Rothe on the sweetest of Lippizans “Maestoso Petra” (Congratulations, Ladies it was such a pleasure to compete with you!!!)
Sunday afternoon was cattle time, and with the help of our great team Alexa Maine, Katie Morwen Stearns and Heather Longshore the Dragon and I managed to pen our cow in best time in both competitions and were awarded High point Champion twice!!!
