German horse breeders Urte Kern and Jost Appel of Gestut Classic Performance horses operated for a time a program focused on Akhal-Teke x Arabian crosses. Horses with this breeding from their program were referred to as Arasiers or Arasiens, their own trademarked breed.
The Akhal-Teke x Arabian cross has been a popular choice for producing sporthorses and this cross can be seen competing in endurance and other disciplines around the world.
Some years ago, Urte and Jost retired their Arasier program, but some of their produced “Arasiens” can be seen below for educational purposes.
