Wow this is fantastic!! An Iranian rider… is he on an Iranian Akhal-Teke?
I certainly get the impression, from watching horse sport archival footage, that riding seemed more effortless than it does now (in comparison to high level sports of today). Even dressage, which is intended to appear effortless looks so effortful at top levels now. I would like to see more of the ease of the past return to riding techniques, with more correct biomechanics utilized for both horse and rider. Good alignment definitely helps with balance for doing things like jumping without bridle, bit, or reins!
